Simple Cherry Jewelry Armoire

Instructions

Sand all wood pieces of cherry jewelry armoire using rough, medium, fine and finally extra fine sandpaper. Line the two pieces of one-inch times 1 inch x 6 inch cherry for the feet evenly with the edges of the bottom piece 1/2-inch by12-inch x 6 inch cherry. Drill 1/16 inch arrow holes in the positions shown in the diagram. Screw the pieces together using 1/8 inch diameter, 3/4 inch long brass wood screws. Lay the base on its side. Apply the carpenter's glue for each short narrow edge of two 1/2 inch of 15-inch of 6-inch cherry wood sides.

Put each piece on its long narrow edge and butt 1/2 inch by 12-inch with 6-inch cherry top and base against them, making all edges and corners flush. You now have a glued together, footed cherry jewelry armoire without front or back. Drill 1/16 inch pilot hole in the positions shown in the diagram. Screw the pieces together using 1/8 inch diameter, 3/4 inch long brass wood screws for the top and 1/8 inch diameter, 2-inch long brass wood screws for the bottom. The dots along the feet represent screw positions from a side view. The actual mounting position goes along the center line of the bottom of the feet.
